Fabricated Stainless Thermostat Probe For The Appliance Industry

For 60 years, Peterson Manufacturing, LLC. has been producing precision deep drawn metal stamping components for customers in a wide range of industries.

As a result of our ability to deliver quality parts, a manufacturer of appliance thermostats came to us for a precision deep drawn metal stamping of this 305 stainless steel part. This part was previously produced by cutting and forming tubing, then welding the tip closed. We utilized our high-speed transfer press technology to produce parts “complete to print”, esthetically superior and eliminating any quality issues with “leaking” parts. The parts are then degreased and burnished, ready for assembly. The part is .020″ thick, .316″ in diameter and 2.728″ long, finished with a smooth, uniform surface. We ensured the stainless steel tube met tolerances of ±.002″ and utilized a gage block and “Z” Mike laser micrometer to confirm that it met the necessary specifications.
